WB FTP

FTP is the most used method of transferring and sharing files and folders over the Internet. But in order to benefit from all the features offered by FTP, you will first need to install a FTP client. Windows includes such a client, but unfortunately, it doesn't have an actual interface, being usable only with the help of command lines. This may discourage first-time computer users and can make it really difficult to connect to FTP server.

Still, there are some applications which allow you to connect to any FTP server using a graphical and intuitive interface. WB FTP is one such application. This Windows program offers a new approach in using FTP services, offering a graphical interface and allowing virtually anyone to connect to FTP, using minimum settings. After the program is installed and launched, the user will first need to create a new profile. For this, he will need to enter the server address, username, password, port and other similar settings.

After creating the FTP profile, the user will be able to connect to it with a single mouse click, just by hitting the Connect button. At this point, one will be able to upload or download FTP files and folders with ease, as WB FTP features a Windows Explorer-like interface. Unfortunately, there is no drag and drop support and the user will need to use the graphical toolbar in order to transfer files.

Advanced users can select the type of transfer that will be used by WB FTP, either ASCII, Binary or auto.
